Cabin Fever

Cabin Fever

According to Wikipedia Cabin Fever is:

an idiomatic term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group is isolated and/or shut in, in a small space, with nothing to do, for an extended period. Symptoms include restlessness, irritability, forgetfulness, laughter, and excessive sleeping, distrust of anyone they are with, and an urge to go outside even in the (less miserable) rain, snow or dark.

I’ve been off the uni for close to three weeks – my lower leg/ankle/foot is healing but ever so slowly. I really miss my daily fix of the outdoors and being physically active, but as much as I’d like to ride I don’t want to make things worse or prolong the healing process.

    Awh, that sucks.

Lately I’ve found I get cranky (as it were) after just a few days without riding my uni, I would hate to be down for that long.

Been missing your trip reports and pretty photos, having been reading for a couple of months – hope you’ll be recovered and back in action soon!

Hope the leg is on the mend. I’m still restricted to my 20inch, so I am suffering from a MUNI deficiency. Next time I come back to Adelaide I’ll be bringing my 36er, so that should provide some temporary relief until my 29er upgrade is finished and i’m up and rolling again….yeha.
