Trailer Track
Another favorite ride of mine is the Trailer Track Loop – a fun mix of dirt road, fire trails, bush and single track, climbs and descents in the Wombat Forest, Victoria Australia. The highlight is the descent down to the Loddon River on the Trailer Track which drops down through the bush to the river, trees backlit by the low sun in the west, with the hill progressively getting steeper and steeper.

It’s a great fun ride on the 29″ and 36″ single speed. Today I went out on the 36″ GUNI. The 165 cranks made the climbs seem easier than normal (I usually run 137mm cranks on both the 29″ and 36″ for XC riding) and the 1:1.5 top gear a blast, though it’ll take some time to gain the control and strength to relax and have more control.

The 36 GUNI has got me thinking it’s definitely time to get serious about building my XC GUNI handlebar I’ve been sketching the last month or so!
